Building Conversations is the New SEO Mantra

One of the newest techniques, to which SEO Services or Search EngineOptimization Services are moving, is building conversations with the readers. This includes, but is not limited to, the comments that follow a blog post or any other write-up. The tone of the write-ups itself is changing from a straight tone of a one way channel of information to one which is conversational in nature. The conversational tone helps build a relationship between the write-up and the readers, which leads them to feel involved.

It is true that the traditional process of earning business has been a very straightforward exercise. The user searches with keywords, finds a write-up that provides relevant information. If his queries are satisfactorily answered in the blog, he often goes ahead to do business, leading to the sales conversion. However, with the number of write-ups that are available on the internet now, it is no longer possible to read everything that can be found. Internet readers notoriously brought the term “skim reading” in vogue. It is thus, not just the businesses that compete with each other for attention, but the related contents also compete for the readers’ attention. A conversational tone immediately raises the interest of the readers and is more successful in catching their attention.

The Search Engines also see user engagement as an important way of judging the quality of the write-up. The user engagement is most commonly measured by the comments, likes, and number of shares and they are taken into consideration while ranking the page too. SEO Experts now make optimum use of the comments section. Prompt replies, further points and counterpoints are used effectively to start and retain user interest. Apart from the part they play in SEO, such conversations also bring newer viewpoints and facts into the equation and increase the efficiency of the write-up.

SEO Rows on the Constantly Flowing Content Rivers

Stagnancy is death in the world of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This is one battle field where you just cannot rest on your past laurels. A few days of inaction in a website are enough to kick it out of the Search Engine Result Pages. Due to the updated Search Engine Crawlers and Spiders and the huge volumes of SEO Content fed to them every day, it is very easy for them to forget the taste of the links to your website. The higher the days of inactive content, higher are the chances that your website is pushed into the dark alleys of the web world, out of reach of all Search Engine Bots.

A constant flow of content is an absolute must for any website. It is the energy which is required by a website in its race for the top spots in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). The type of content required for SEO depends on the ways in which the Search Engines’ technologies search and rank. A competitive SEO Agency knows such processes inside out and effectively optimizes the visual and written content of website. SEO Content is also posted in other websites allowing blogs and articles posting and with back links to the website of the business. Even without the back links, SEO Experts build up the Online Reputation of the brand through such postings.

Creation of regular and unique content is a challenge that has to be faced by all SEO Agencies in the present competitive times. The regularity of the content varies on the popularity of the relevant keywords. Some keywords can be optimized with weekly postings while others require a daily dosage. The accurate calculation of the regularity with which the postings are to be done with respect to the keywords is an important attribute of a successful SEO Agency. A close watch on the behavior of the popular Search Engines is the first step required for such a calculation.

Online Reputation Management (ORM) – The New SEO Focal Point

After the latest changes by Google, Online Reputation Management or ORM has become more important than ever. Filling web pages with keywords have taken a backseat as SEO Experts are now more focused on the applauses and criticism which the already posted sites attract. It is no longer important to just stay visible. The image which is being portrayed by or inferred from the existing visibility is equally important. Online Advertising and Online Marketing have been rudely woken up to the fact that lesser visibility is far better than higher visibility with a negative impact.

What Is ORM?

You must have tried searching your own name in Google and become delightfully fascinated when links to your Facebook, LinkedIn, and other online profiles appeared in the results. The nature of results which appear in this manner is your Online Reputation. Similarly, the kind of results (not the ranking) which appear prominently in Google’s search results, when the name of the organization is searched for, is its Online Reputation. The most common way of analyzing the reputation which a business has online is to study the reviews and comments which appear at the websites that are prominently visible.

Why Is ORM Important?

Due to Google’s new change, the ranking of a website now depends more on the interactions attracted by its content than the number of keywords. With sharing of links becoming popular in social websites like Facebook, Google+, and twitter, reviews and discussions on the content are readily available. Google’s new algorithm ensures that the prominence of the page is directly proportional to the number of such reviews and discussions. The problem occurs when your website attracts negative reactions and those links get highlighted in the search results. This can not only push away your clients and customers to your competitors but also cause damage to the reputation of your business.

How Do ORM Service Providers Do?

The ORM Service providers and ORM Experts strategically publish SEO Content that creates good reviews. This pushes the links with negative comments and reviews lower down the search rankings. Even though ORM is prone to unethical means like fake comments made through fake accounts and sites, any good ORM Expert will know that unethical ORM practices do not pay in the long run.

ORM Services have become crucial for your online presence. An online presence without Online Reputation Management is like putting out wares for sale without caring about the kind of responses that they are attracting.

Is the Strife on Google’s Latest Changes Merited?

How many times have you seen the service providers in the online markets go up in fury when Google announces changes? Be it SEO Services, price comparison services, or any other service utilizing Google’s search ranking as a base for their functions, most of the relevant agencies seem ever ready to scoff at any change announced by Google. Let’s analyze the criticism lashed out at Google’s latest change, the Hummingbird and whether the discussions and debates raging over the subject are merited.

In a nutshell, the introduction of Hummingbird changed the algorithm by which Google showed results. The focus has shifted from individual keywords to the phrase typed by the user. The user can’t be anything but pleased at Google’s latest ability to react better to longer and complex search phrases. However, another change that was made was the restriction of keyword data to the paid users. It is this change which has led some of the service providers to accuse Google of discrimination. Some suggested Google wanted monopoly, some said it will kill small businesses, and the discussion forums have been overloaded!

Most of anger directed at this change or any other change by Google is perhaps rooted in another cause. SEO Agencies spend enormous amount of resources in order to ensure that Google’s guidelines are followed. Changes in Google necessitate corresponding changes in the companies’ strategies. And when the updates and changes are made at intervals as regular as Google’s, the load on the resources increase. Additionally, this time Google stopped a few freebies like keyword data and that further increased the tempers.

However, if seen from a third person’s objective, the changes were not only required, but do not exactly merit the wrath that they have attracted. Firstly, if Google’s earlier guideline of good quality content has been already followed, there is no requirement for any major changes. This should have been the task of the SEO Service Providers from day 1. The question of cutting out some of the free services is a little tricky. But, providing free services and charging for them once they are popular is a common trend among online businesses. Any online application or service provider provides more for the ones who pay. Google cannot be accused of attempting monopoly just because when it starts charging a few new services a much larger base of consumers get affected.

Google’s Hummingbird brings on the changes demanded by the new voice search technology. Google is moving with the times, bringing in changes to utilize the latest available technologies. It is the job of the SEO Experts and Mobile and Internet Advertising Agencies to keep up.
